This Privacy Policy explains how Zenvytech Technologies LTD ("we", "us", "our", "CorperLove") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the CorperLove mobile application and related services (the "App"). CorperLove is designed for members and alumni of the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

We process your data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

1. Who we are

Zenvytech Technologies LTD is the data controller for personal information processed through CorperLove. Contact: support@corperlove.com.

2. Eligibility

CorperLove is only for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.

3. Information we collect

3.1 You give us

Account data: email address, password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we never see your plaintext password), display name, gender, NYSC state of deployment, batch.
Profile data: bio, photographs, interests, skills, religion (optional), profession, current city, alumni service year, profile preferences.
Verification data: a selfie used to verify your photo matches your profile, your NYSC call-up number, and your phone number (for OTP verification).
Communications: messages you send to other users through our chat, event chat, and messaging features; reports you submit about other users; blocks you place on other users.
Transaction data: records of in-app purchases (premium subscriptions, coin packs) — your card and bank details are handled exclusively by Paystack; we never receive or store them.

3.2 Collected automatically

Device & technical data: device type, operating system version, app version, IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), session activity timestamps.
Location data: only if you explicitly opt in via your phone's permission prompt. Used to show people and events near you (radius-based, typically 50 km). You can revoke this in your device settings at any time.
Push token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token used solely to deliver notifications you've enabled.

4. How we use your information

To match you with other users based on preferences, location, batch, and interests.
To operate the chat, events, jobs, alumni, and community features.
To verify your identity (selfie review, call-up number, phone OTP) and protect against impersonation and fake accounts.
To process subscription and coin purchases via Paystack.
To send service-related messages (account notifications, security alerts, push notifications you've opted in to).
To investigate reports of abuse, harassment, or other Terms of Service violations.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from Nigerian authorities.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers that help us operate CorperLove:

Paystack (Lagos, Nigeria) — payment processing for premium and coin purchases.
Cloudinary (USA) — secure storage and delivery of your profile photos and verification selfies.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC, USA) — push notification delivery only.
Africa's Talking (Nigeria/Kenya) — phone OTP SMS delivery only.
Neon (USA) — managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
Hostinger (Lithuania) — server hosting (Africa region).

Each provider is bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and use it only to perform the service we've engaged them for.

We may also disclose data when required by Nigerian law, a court order, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or threats to user safety.

6. Other users on the platform

Information you put on your profile (display name, photos, bio, state, batch, interests) is visible to other CorperLove users. Messages you send are visible to the recipient. Be thoughtful about what you share.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers (Cloudinary, Firebase, Neon, Hostinger) process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on standard contractual safeguards and the providers' own data-protection frameworks to ensure your data remains protected to NDPR/NDPA standards.

8. Data retention

Account and profile data are retained while your account is active.
If you request account deletion, we anonymize your profile (your email, name, photos, phone number, and other identifying fields are permanently overwritten) within 30 days. We retain the anonymized record only where necessary to preserve other users' chat history and matches.
Transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with Nigerian tax and accounting law.
Reports of abuse are retained for at least 2 years to support trust and safety investigations.

9. Your rights under NDPR / NDPA

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information (most fields you can edit yourself in-app).
Delete — ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
Object / withdraw consent — for processing based on consent (e.g., location sharing, push notifications), you can withdraw at any time.
Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Complain — lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng.

10. Security

We use industry-standard protections including HTTPS/TLS for all communication, bcrypt for password storage, JWT-based session tokens, rotating refresh tokens, rate-limiting on sensitive endpoints, and least-privilege database access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data and notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach as required by NDPR.

11. Children's privacy

CorperLove is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll notify you via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
